Our Story

It started as a six-month job.

In 1988, Charlie Giuliano took a job in plumbing and heating expecting it to last about six months. He needed work, and the trade seemed like a fine place to land while he figured out the longer term. The longer term, it turned out, was the trade itself.

What kept him in the work was something he hadn't expected: the people. Plumbing puts you in someone's home on what is often a stressful day — a basement taking on water during a March storm, a heating system that quit overnight in February, a renovation running behind schedule with a wedding three weeks out. Showing up calm, explaining the work in plain language, doing it right, and walking out with a customer who trusted the next call to you — that's the part of the job that turned six months into a career.

After earning his New Jersey master plumbing license, Charlie started CJ Giuliano Plumbing & Heating LLC. The goal was straightforward: build a service his family could rely on, and offer it to a community he was proud to be part of. More than twenty years later, that's still how the shop is run.

Today the company is family-owned and based at 41 Watchung Plaza in Montclair. Charlie leads the work alongside a small, skilled team — small enough that he personally knows every job on the schedule, experienced enough to handle the full range of residential plumbing and heating work across Essex County.

"We don't cut corners and we don't disappear after the job. We show up, we communicate clearly, we treat your home the way we'd want ours treated, and we stand behind the work we do. That's not a sales pitch — it's just how the shop runs."

— Charlie Giuliano, Owner

Licensed in New Jersey

Two trades, one shop, one accountable team.

Most plumbing work in a New Jersey home eventually touches gas, water, and heating systems. We hold both of the state-required residential trade licenses — master plumbing and HVACR — which means we handle the full scope of a project ourselves. No subcontracting the gas portion to one company and the water work to another. One crew shows up, one team is responsible for the result, and one phone number gets the response when you call.

How We Work

Four things we do not compromise on.

01

Show up when we say we will.

When we book a window, we keep it. Your day shouldn't have to flex around our schedule — that's our job, not yours.

02

Explain the work before we start.

You'll know what the job involves, what it costs, and why — in plain language — before any tools come out of the truck. No surprises mid-project.

03

Treat the house with respect.

Drop cloths down, work area protected, mess cleaned up before we leave. Your home should look like we were never there — except now the plumbing works.

04

Stand behind every job.

If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right. That's not a special offer — it's the whole job. The work isn't done until you're satisfied.
