What we install
Fixture installation covers a lot of ground, from a single faucet swap during a busy week to a full bathroom worth of new fixtures during a renovation. We handle the work the same way regardless of size: the existing connections get inspected, anything that has corroded gets replaced rather than reused, and the new fixture goes in level, sealed, and tested.
Most of the calls we get for fixture work fall into one of a few categories: the old fixture finally failed, a renovation is bringing in new pieces, or a homeowner wants to upgrade something tired without doing a full remodel. All three are work we do regularly.
Fixture work we handle:
- Kitchen and bathroom faucets
- Toilet replacement and rough-in
- Drop-in, undermount, vessel, and pedestal sinks
- Bathtub and shower valve installation
- Garbage disposals
- Water filtration and instant hot water dispensers
- Outdoor hose bibs and frost-free spigots
Why fixture installs go wrong (and how we avoid that)
Most fixture problems we see on follow-up calls trace back to one of three things: shutoff valves that were not replaced when they should have been, supply lines that were reused instead of replaced, or a fixture that was installed without checking that the rough-in actually matched. Cutting those corners saves 15 minutes on the job and creates a service call six months later.
We do not work that way. New shutoffs go in if the old ones are sticky. New supply lines go in by default. The rough-in gets verified before we open the box. It is more careful, and it is the difference between a fixture that works for ten years and a fixture that leaks at the connection a season later.
Renovations and remodels
If you are working with a contractor on a kitchen or bathroom remodel, we coordinate with them on the rough-in and the trim. That includes positioning supply lines and drains correctly during framing, setting valves at the right depth, and coming back at the end of the project to install the trim and fixtures cleanly. This is regular work for us across Montclair, Verona, and the surrounding towns.
